hansel goes back to its Singaporean roots with the “Heartland” collection. Created from our designer Jo Soh’s hand-drawn artwork, motifs and patterns feature a sight familiar in Singapore, the HDB block. Blocks of Housing and Development (HDB) flats were built to meet the population boom in Singapore in the 1960s and have been home to many Singaporeans ever since.

The “Bamboo Poles” print depicts a common sight of HDB blocks where laundry is often hung on bamboo poles and propped outside windows to dry in Singapore’s perennial summer sun.

This elegant halter shirtdress has a concealed button-front placket and a contrasting fabric belt sash.

  • Halter bodice with shirt collar.
  • Maxi shirtdress.
  • Concealed button-front placket opens to waist.
  • Elasticated waistband.
  • Contrasting fabric belt.
  • Two vertical welt pockets on dress front.
  • The skirt section is half-lined.
  • Front slit allows for ease of movement.
